Role description
Our Cognition platform supports two types of roles: engineer and annotator.
The role of annotator is the enduser/customer and when a user is assigned as annotator, the user can only see the Chat UI. The role of engineer is the user that sets up the whole flow, is responsible for all the processes so that the annotators can use the application without any issues and to its best abilities. Behind the scene, the engineer sets the strategies in the editor and based on all the configurations within a project, the annotators can start their chatting. The possibilities for pdf upload and macros on the Chat UI view are determined from the engineer.
After a user is assigned to as an annotator, the first access is the following screen:
Users can only be assigned if they are annotators, because engineers already have access to all agent projects. More about the teams feature in the following section: Teams section .
